How to Add Your Logo to QR Codes (Branded QR Codes)
Put your own logo in the center of every QR code you create with URLyte. Learn how branded QR codes work, the file specs that scan reliably, and how to turn them on.
Why Put a Logo on Your QR Code?
A plain black-and-white QR code works, but it looks anonymous — there's nothing that tells a customer who it belongs to before they scan. A QR code with your logo in the center instantly signals trust and brand recognition. On a poster, a product label, a business card, or an event banner, a branded QR code looks intentional and professional instead of generic.
With URLyte you can upload your own logo once and have it automatically appear in the center of every QR code you generate — for direct links, branded namespace links, and custom-domain links alike.
How Branded QR Codes Work in URLyte
Every short link in URLyte already comes with a downloadable QR code. When you add a brand logo, URLyte places it in the middle of the QR code and bumps the error-correction level up automatically so the code stays scannable even with the logo covering part of it.
You upload the logo once at the account level. From that moment, the logo is applied everywhere QR codes appear — the QR popup, the QR Codes page, and every download — with no per-link configuration needed.
How to Add Your Logo
- Go to Profile settings → QR Code Logo in your dashboard.
- Click Upload logo and choose your image.
- Preview how it looks inside a sample QR code, then save.
- Open any link's QR code — your logo is now in the center, ready to download.
Want to go back to the default? Hit Remove and your QR codes revert instantly.
Logo File Requirements
For a crisp, reliably scannable result, URLyte accepts:
- Format: PNG, JPG, or WEBP (SVG is not supported for security reasons).
- File size: up to 1 MB.
- Dimensions: at least 96×96 pixels.
For the best results, use a square PNG with a transparent background, at least 256×256 pixels. URLyte automatically centers, squares, and resizes your logo, so you don't have to crop it perfectly yourself.
Will the Logo Stop My QR Code From Scanning?
No — as long as you keep the logo reasonably sized. QR codes have built-in error correction, which is exactly what lets a logo sit in the middle without breaking the code. URLyte handles this for you by raising the error-correction level and limiting how much of the code the logo can cover. We still recommend testing the final QR code with a couple of phones before printing a large run, which is good practice for any QR code.
Fully Branded, White-Label QR Codes
When you set your own logo, URLyte goes fully white-label: the URLyte mark is removed from the QR code and the downloaded image. The result is a clean, branded QR code that's entirely yours — perfect for client work, packaging, and print campaigns where you don't want any third-party branding.
Availability
Custom QR logos are available on the Pro and Business plans. On Business, the logo applies across your whole team's workspace, so every teammate's QR codes carry the same brand automatically. Free accounts use the standard URLyte logo. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different logo for each QR code?
The brand logo is set once per account and applies to all your QR codes, keeping your branding consistent everywhere.
What if my logo isn't square?
That's fine — URLyte automatically fits it onto a square, transparent canvas so it sits neatly in the center without distortion.
Do existing QR codes update automatically?
Yes. The logo is applied when the QR code is rendered, so all your links show the new logo as soon as you save it — no need to recreate anything.
