Analytics Dashboard Overview

URLyte's analytics dashboard provides comprehensive insights into your link performance. The dashboard is designed to give you a clear understanding of how your links are performing, who is clicking on them, and where those clicks are coming from.

Accessing Analytics

To access your analytics dashboard:

Dashboard Sections

The analytics dashboard is divided into several key sections:

Overview

The Overview section provides a high-level summary of your link performance, including total clicks, unique visitors, top-performing links, and click trends over time.

Link Performance

This section shows detailed metrics for each of your links, allowing you to compare performance across different links and identify which ones are generating the most engagement.

Geographic Data

The Geographic Data section displays where your clicks are coming from, with breakdowns by country, region, and city. This helps you understand the geographic distribution of your audience.

Referrer Analysis

This section shows which websites or platforms are sending traffic to your links, helping you identify your most effective traffic sources.

Device & Browser Data

This section provides insights into the devices, browsers, and operating systems your visitors are using, which can help you optimize your destination pages for the most common configurations.

Understanding Metrics

URLyte tracks a variety of metrics to give you a comprehensive understanding of your link performance. Here's what each metric means and how you can use it:

Total Clicks

The total number of times your link has been clicked. This includes repeat clicks from the same user.

How to use it: Track overall engagement and compare performance across different time periods.

Unique Clicks

The number of distinct users who have clicked your link, based on their IP address and browser fingerprint.

How to use it: Understand your actual reach and the number of individual people engaging with your content.

Click-through Rate (CTR)

The percentage of people who clicked your link out of the total number who saw it (when available from referrer data).

How to use it: Evaluate the effectiveness of your call-to-action and link placement.

Geographic Distribution

A breakdown of clicks by country, region, and city.

How to use it: Target your content to regions where you're seeing the most engagement.

Referrer Sources

The websites or platforms that are sending traffic to your links.

How to use it: Identify your most effective traffic sources and focus your efforts there.

Device & Browser Data

Information about the devices, browsers, and operating systems used by your visitors.

How to use it: Optimize your destination pages for the most common configurations.

Time-based Analysis

Click patterns over time, including hourly, daily, and monthly breakdowns.

How to use it: Identify the best times to share your links for maximum engagement.

Generating Reports

URLyte allows you to generate custom reports to analyze specific aspects of your link performance. These reports can be tailored to your needs and saved for future reference.

Creating a Custom Report

Navigate to the Analytics section of your dashboard

Click on "Reports" in the sub-navigation menu

Click "Create New Report" button

Select the metrics you want to include in your report

Choose the links or namespaces you want to analyze

Set the date range for your report

Click "Generate Report" to create your custom report

Scheduled Reports

URLyte also allows you to schedule reports to be generated automatically and sent to your email on a regular basis. This is particularly useful for ongoing campaigns or regular performance reviews.

To set up a scheduled report:

  • Create a custom report as described above
  • Click "Schedule" on the report page
  • Select the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Enter the email addresses that should receive the report
  • Click "Save Schedule" to confirm

Exporting Analytics Data

URLyte makes it easy to export your analytics data for further analysis in external tools or for sharing with team members who don't have access to your URLyte account.

Export Formats

You can export your data in several formats:

CSV (Comma-Separated Values)

Best for importing into spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

PDF (Portable Document Format)

Ideal for sharing reports with stakeholders who need a formatted, printable document.

JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)

Perfect for developers who want to integrate URLyte data with other applications or systems.

How to Export Data

To export your analytics data:

Navigate to the Analytics section of your dashboard

Apply any filters or date ranges to narrow down the data you want to export

Click the "Export" button in the top-right corner of the dashboard

Select your preferred export format (CSV, PDF, or JSON)

Click "Export" to download the file

Pro Tip

When exporting data for analysis in tools like Excel or Google Sheets, CSV format is usually the best choice. It preserves all the raw data and allows for maximum flexibility in how you analyze and visualize it.

URLyte can integrate with various third-party analytics and marketing platforms to provide a more comprehensive view of your link performance and to streamline your workflow.

Setting Up Integrations

To set up an integration:
